One thing all of our containers have in common is that when placed in the soil, with adequate moisture and oxygen, they will decompose over time.  The hangers and brass eyelets used with our hanging baskets are not considered biodegradable, although where facilities exist, they may be recyclable.

The longevity of our containers and the time it takes for our containers to break down in the soil depends on the formulation and a series of environmental factors that affect decomposition in both positive and negative ways. ReadyPlant™ containers will typically break down very quickly in the soil, allowing plant roots to grow through the planted container, while our standard ReadyGrow™ containers can take much longer to decompose and are better suited for longer-term crops.
